FEPS chalked up another successful exhibition of members' work this year.
The exhibition was opened by actress Madeleine Smith, famous for her role with Roger Moore in the James Bond film Live and Let Die. Pictured here with Society Chairman, Marilyn Dennis, in opening the exhibition Maddy spoke about here life as a chubby young girl, ashamed of her looks until picked out by photographer Lewis Morley and the rest, as they say, is history.
The exhibition, which ran from 23 April until 5 May, was housed in our usual venue, the Cow Byre, next door to Ruislip Library. 658 visitors passed through the doors during that time to have a look at our print images or our digital display. The exhibition provides an important occasion for members to show their work publicly and most took the opportunity to display four prints.
Ray Staff won the Pinner and Northwood Trophy with this beautiful image of autumnal trees. The trophy is awarded to the member whose image receives the
highest number of votes by visitors for the best picture in the exhibition. Well done, Ray. This is the second year running Ray has won the trophy.
Derrick Leather was hot on his heels however with a wonderful picture of a mallard in flight. It will be interesting to see what happens
next year.
Many thanks to Roye Dolbel for all his hard work in organising the exhibition.
